What EZ2ON REBOOT : R is
This is a vertical rhythm-action game where notes fall down the screen and you press keys in time with the music. The base game ships with over 250 songs, the largest track list in the franchise, covering everything from old classics to newer material. Four key modes are available — 4K, 5K, 6K and 8K — and each song carries four difficulties, so you can start small and work upward. Older entries from the series are included with remastered audio and visuals in 16:9 HD, and everything unlocks from the start with no progression gate.
Playing it with your group
The game supports Online Co-op and Online PvP, so your group can play together over the internet. You can go at each other in competitive matches, or team up in co-op. There is also a singleplayer side if you want to grind on your own. The Steam features list confirms both Online Co-op and Online PvP, so pick whichever fits the mood of the session.
Modes and difficulty
Three play styles sit on top of the key-mode choices. BASIC is the relaxed option with lenient timing, meant for people who just want to groove without pressure. STANDARD tightens the timing requirements considerably and feeds your results into a Rating system that scores your skill. COURSE mode chains a sequence of songs back to back without stopping, with each course curated by the developers. The track list includes known songs such as 'Brain Power', 'PUPA', 'Air', 'MilK', 'The Formula', 'GOODTEK', 'METATRON', 'The Last Page', plus franchise staples like 〈Stay〉 and the boss song 〈KAMUI〉.
Settings before you start
The LIVE CONTROL feature lets you build your own gameplay configuration, save it, and load it back whenever you need it. Advanced players can enable NVIDIA Reflex and ASIO. The game is tagged as Difficult, so expect a real challenge once you move past BASIC. It is also in Early Access, which means the developers are still iterating on it based on player feedback.
