Racing on tracks that twist through space
Super Impossible Road is a futuristic racer where the courses look like rollercoaster tracks coiling over galactic backdrops. The roads are narrow, the turns are hairpins, and falling off sends you into the void of space. The tagline says it all: Winning is Cheating. You are meant to jump off the path, cut across gaps, and bypass gates and checkpoints to reach the front. Temporary speed boosts let you kick into hyperdrive when you need to close a gap or make a jump land. The game is the spiritual sequel to Impossible Road, with new modes and a pulsating techno soundtrack running underneath the action.
Playing together with your group
Your group can race each other in two ways. Online cross-platform play puts up to 8 rivals on the track at once, and it works across Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, and Apple Arcade, so mixed-platform groups can still line up together. Before a race, everyone votes on the next track location with the track spinner, or you can pick random or repeat to keep things moving. If you are all in the same room, 4-player split-screen runs at 120 FPS, so the local race stays smooth with four people on screen.
What to know before starting
There is a lot to work through before you go online. The career mode has dozens of varied challenges that ramp up in difficulty, and single player modes come with leaderboards if you want to chase times. Daily Track mode gives you a new track every day. Vehicles have full customization that boosts stats, so you can tune a ride to match how you like to drive. The tracks are procedurally generated, which keeps courses from repeating the same way twice. Full surround sound system support is available if you have the setup for it.
