Kyle Katarn's mission
STAR WARS™ Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast™ continues the line of Star Wars Dark Forces™ and Star Wars® Jedi Knight. You play as Kyle Katarn, agent of the New Republic, taking on a new evil that threatens the galaxy. The game runs on the Quake III Arena engine and moves between first-person and third-person views. Along the way you meet familiar faces such as Luke Skywalker and Lando Calrissian, with Billy Dee Williams voicing Lando. The single-player campaign is made up of 24 missions.
Force powers and weapons
Combat leans on both swordplay and shooting. You get a Lightsaber and access to more than 8 Force abilities, including Jedi Mind Trick, Force Lightning and Force Grip. There are 13 weapons to pick from, such as the disruptor rifle, thermal detonators, trip mines and the Wookiee bowcaster. Choosing the right mix of Force powers and hardware shapes how each fight plays out.
Playing together
Online play supports 2-32 players, and you can also face AI Bots. Multiplayer offers 6 game types: Jedi Master, Holocron, Capture the Ysalamiri, Duel, Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. Bots add 7 more Force powers to the mix. Remote Play Together is available, so one person can host and others can join in from their own setups.
