What Cue Club 2: Pool & Snooker is

Cue Club 2: Pool & Snooker is a billiards simulator from Bulldog Interactive built around accurate ball physics and a wide spread of table sizes, from 6 ft up to 12 ft. You can play 8 ball, 9 ball, 10 ball, 6 ball, 7 ball, 14.1 Straight Pool, Snooker, Speed Pool and Killer Tournament. Rules are fully customisable, so a group can settle on house rules before the first break. The game runs in 2D or 3D view, works with a touchscreen, and supports Full HD, ultra-widescreen and 4K displays. Nine jazz soundtracks play in the background while you line up shots.

Playing together

The game supports 2, 3 and 4 Player modes on the same machine, plus Multiplayer, Spectator and Practice modes. Online PvP is available, and Remote Play Together lets friends join your session from their own setup. A spectator mode means anyone waiting their turn can watch the table instead of sitting out. Slow motion shot replay with a save facility is there for those moments when a break needs a second look.

Before you start

Work out which game type suits your group first. Speed Pool and Killer Tournament play differently from a slow 14.1 Straight Pool match, and Snooker rewards a more patient approach than 8 ball. The 15 characters you face range from beginner to pro level, backed by an artificial intelligence system designed to behave like real opponents, so expect the difficulty to climb as you progress. Winning matches earns access to new bars and trophies, tracked in a hall of fame with a trophy room and game leaderboards. You can also pick your own tables, cues, chalk and ball sets before a session, which is worth doing once so everyone agrees on the setup.
