Running Your Shop
Sporting Goods Shop is a first-person simulation where you own and operate a sporting goods store. You sign contracts with leading brands, order products using an in-game computer or a tablet while walking around the store, unpack the boxes, place items on the racks, and set prices. Keep an eye on market prices when you set your own, since pricing affects customer satisfaction. You also need to keep the store clean to avoid losing customers, and watch for thieves who can steal boxes and hurt your finances. The product range covers sports equipment and accessories, fitness and gym products, skates, rackets, nutrition and body care items, swimming goggles, golf clubs, boxing gloves, sports clothes and shoes, and more. Expanding your portfolio helps you meet what customers are looking for.
Playing Together
You can run the shop solo or invite friends into co-op mode for up to 4 players. In co-op, you share the duties of running the store. The more players in the store, the more demanding the customers who visit will be. If you start solo, you can invite friends at any point. Splitting the work lets you handle ordering, stocking, pricing, checkout, and cleaning at the same time instead of doing it all yourself.
What to Know Before Starting
Customers queue at checkouts, so place enough registers and hire cashiers to keep waiting times down. You scan products and take payment in cash or by card, and you also need to fulfill online orders. As your store and budget grow, you can level up and expand the store and warehouse. Hire stockers to fill the racks, add more cash registers and cashiers to shorten lines, bring in a janitor to keep the place clean, and hire a security guard to chase off thieves. The game is in Early Access, so expect it to still be in development.
