What Soccer Kids Alpha is

Soccer Kids Alpha is a turn-based tactics game about street soccer, built by people who admit they are no good at the real sport. You play as a teenage mathematical savant who leads a group of nerd friends through a local street soccer tournament. The action happens on a grid-less pitch, so positioning and timing matter more than reflexes. The setting is Poland in the 90s, during the shift from a socialist republic to a democracy with a free market, and the cast is made up of latchkey kids who soaked up new cultural influences arriving from around the world. The game is in an early alpha stage, and the developers say all content is subject to change.

Playing together

The game supports local hot seat matches, where you and a friend take turns controlling teams on the same setup. For playing over the internet, Remote Play Together lets friends join in through that feature. You can also play against an AI opponent when nobody else is around, or run through the tutorial to learn the basics first.

Before you start

This is an alpha build, so expect unfinished content and possible changes between sessions. The developers invite players to try it for free in its early stages and send feedback. Keep in mind that the tactical, turn-based structure means matches play out more like a strategy game than a traditional soccer title, so plan your moves rather than relying on quick reactions.
