Rolling Rocks Through Art History

Rock of Ages 2: Bigger & Boulder is a mix of tower defense, racing, and action where you roll giant boulders down hills to smash through enemy lines. The game takes you through different historical and artistic periods, with levels inspired by Egyptian, Late Gothic, Early Renaissance, and Surrealist art. Along the way, you will face bosses based on famous works of art, such as The Thinker and the Great Sphinx, leading up to a final boss fight. The humor is heavily influenced by Monty Python, and humorous animated vignettes appear throughout the game. The physics and destructible environments have been improved, meaning there are more objects to crack, crush, flatten, and slam as your rock rolls downhill.

Playing Together

Multiplayer is a major focus of this game. You can play with a friend in local split-screen or team up online for a 2v2 match to the death with up to four players. During these matches, opposing tracks can intersect each other, adding to the chaos. You can customize the banners and colors for your units before the fight begins. The game also supports Remote Play Together, allowing you to share your screen with friends who do not have the game installed.

Before You Start

The game features new defensive units and unique boulders with special traits, so you should experiment to see how they change your strategy. Since the tracks can intersect, you need to be ready for opponents to disrupt your path as you disrupt theirs. The game includes a soundtrack, and owners of the original Rock of Ages receive a specific DLC pack for free, which includes the Smiley boulder, the Sisyphus avatar, and three new army banners.
