What RIDE 2 is

RIDE 2 is a motorcycle racing game built around a huge digital garage. Over 170 bikes from 22 of the world's motorcycle manufacturers sit in your collection, covering categories like Nakeds, Supersports, Supermotos, Naked Café Racers and Sport Bike 2 Strokes. You pick a bike, tune it, and take it out to see what it can do. The racing covers Country, City, GP, Road, Motard and Drag events, so the surface and the layout change from one race to the next. There are over 30 tracks with different topographic features, including Nürburgring Nordschleife, and 12 game modes that range from standard circuit racing to slaloms through traffic cones.

Playing with your group

Online PvP lets you race against each other directly, and Remote Play Together lets one person host while others join in from their own setup. The game also carries new social features and a Friends system, so your group can stay together between races. Since the racing is timed and does not stop while you ride, every session comes down to who can hold a clean line and keep the pace up. The split screen tag means you can share a screen when you are in the same room.

Tuning and rider setup

The garage work is a big part of the loop. You can modify five main areas of a bike: engine, brakes and suspension, wheels, transmission and aesthetics, with more than 20 modifications available. That includes a race transmission which lets you fit a fibreglass fairing built for extreme races. Across the whole game there are over 1200 customisable parts and over 600 liveries, so two players can end up with bikes that look and behave very differently. Your rider profile gets the same treatment, with clothing options in Street, Race and Supermoto styles plus a pose editor for riding style.

Before you start

Expect a learning curve around handling: the game leans realistic, and the bike you bring to a race matters as much as your line through it. Some modes demand precision under time pressure, so a sloppy corner costs you more than it would in a looser arcade racer. It works as a singleplayer experience, but the racing is built to be shared, so plan to bring your group in once you have a bike you trust.
