What Prismata is
Prismata is a perfect-information strategy game from Lunarch Studios that mixes real-time strategy, deckbuilders, and board games. You collect resources, build workers and technologies, assemble an army of robots, and trade blows with your opponent until one side is wiped out. Turns are quick-fire, but every decision is yours to make: there is no randomness, no card packs, and no luck of the draw. Your fate comes down to skill alone. Each match gives both players a fresh pool of extra buildable units, so the builds you plan and the threats you answer change from game to game. You pick from three distinct technology classes and snowball your starting resources into a powerful cybernetic army.
Playing together
Prismata is built around Online PvP against other humans. Casual Match lets you play friendly games against other players or one of 30 different AI personalities, while Custom Games let you play bots or friends with fully editable unit pools, time controls, handicaps, and AI difficulty. Ranked Play pairs you against opponents of similar skill for a spot on the leaderboards. Event Mode runs blitz brawl tourneys and mode-of-the-week events with prizes. Real-time spectator mode lets you watch live matches featuring top players, and a custom replay browser lets you watch, share, and analyze game replays. Over 500 customizable emotes and 250 unit skins are there to collect.
Before you start
The game is in Early Access and is Free To Play with no pay-to-win: no card packs, no grinding, and no items that give advantages in competitive multiplayer. Support comes from cosmetics and premium single-player content instead. For learning the ropes there is a 40-mission Campaign story, Combat Training with over 50 hand-crafted puzzles and scenarios, and Expert Challenge variants for extreme difficulty. The story is set on the planet Beacon, where humans live on the sunlit side and intelligent machines colonize the frigid dark side; human soldiers are obsolete and warfare runs on massive robot armies commanded by Swarmwielders, though their own machines begin to malfunction. New units are added regularly, each with a unique role, and there are over 100 trillion unique gameplay scenarios, each with a different optimal strategy to discover.
