What Potion Commotion is

Potion Commotion is an idle clicker where you work as the assistant to Wogglebogg the Wizard, who has run into money trouble and needs his potion business kept alive. You build up a garden of trees, plants and creatures, each producing odd ingredients, then combine them into potions. A Fire Potion needs Dragon Eggs and Volcano Ice Cream; a Strength Potion needs Chocolate Camel Milk and Spinach Leaves. Finished potions earn coins and elixir, which you spend on expanding the garden and brewing further. The game keeps running while you are away, so ingredients keep growing and potions keep getting made during a break, and you collect the results when you come back. There is a prestige system for starting over stronger, daily bonuses, and a Garden Design mode for arranging things the way you like. Eldershire's City Street adds a Fortune Teller, a Bank, a Potion Upgrades Shop and a Clothing Boutique to visit.

Playing it together

Potion Commotion has a Co-Op Mode where a Potion Pal joins you, and the game supports Remote Play Together, so a friend can hop in from their own machine. There is also a singleplayer mode if you would rather brew alone. Full controller support and touch compatibility mean people can play on whatever setup they have to hand. Expect to trade notes on which ingredients to plant next and who is chasing off pests.

Before you start

Sneaky pests will try to steal your resources, so you either scare them off with your cursor or buy Guard'em Gnomes to handle it for you. Decisions shape your progress, and thousands of paths to wizardry mean no two gardens end up the same, so compare setups rather than assuming there is one correct order to do things. The game carries 100 achievements, hundreds of puns, an English voice cast for every character and an original soundtrack by HMN Music. There are no micro-transactions, so everything you earn stays inside the game. Characters you will meet include Sir Loinsteak the Knight, Hamrietta the Pig and Chester the Jester.
