Reshaping the battlefield

Perimeter is a real-time strategy game where the ground itself is a resource and a weapon. You play as a Legate, commanding frames to build bases, gather energy by transforming the terrain, and fight through hostile geological processes and entities called the Scourge. The destructible world means your defenses and attacks can reshape the map, so positioning and terrain control matter as much as unit counts. The game also features time manipulation alongside its top-down, futuristic setting.

Playing together online

The Legate Edition includes full support for online multiplayer, and it allows matches with more than four players on special maps. You can also use custom mods in multiplayer, and the edition brings in frames and electro-technologies from Geometry of War and Emperor's Testament for use in battles. New player colors help keep teams readable in larger fights.

Before you start

The Legate Edition runs on Windows and Linux, supports widescreen monitors at almost any resolution, and lets you change resolution without restarting. The "Emperor's Testament" add-on is included in the main game. The English campaign here is the full version, matching the Russian original, but it has no English voice-over; you can switch back to the truncated campaign with voice-over by disabling the "True English campaign" mod in the Mods menu. Some story elements were omitted in the international release, and the community has worked to translate and clarify the narrative.
