The Museum of Other Realities is a multiplayer art showcase built for virtual reality. You walk through a gallery of interactive pieces, step into a painting, and let sound surround you as the work takes shape around you. The collection keeps growing, with new art and events added on an ongoing basis, so there is always something fresh to see when you come back. The museum also supports the artists behind the work: featured artists are paid and promoted, and pieces from creators around the world have been shown here.

Visiting with friends

This is a collective space meant to be explored alongside others. You can meet up with old friends or run into new ones in the same gallery, sharing reactions to a piece as it evolves in front of you. Everyone is in the same virtual space, so you can stand together in front of a work, talk about it, and move on to the next one as a group. It works as a casual outing rather than a competitive session, which makes it easy to drop in and wander at your own pace.

Before you start

You will need a VR setup to enter the museum. If you use a Valve Index with Index controllers, you can gesture to friends and draw in the air, which adds a nice layer to how you interact with both the art and the people around you. Expect a relaxed, social experience centered on looking at and experiencing art together rather than objectives or scores. Since the collection changes over time, a return visit can surface pieces you have not seen before.
