A zombie flick gone wrong

Blanc and her friends are filming a zombie movie on the grounds of Gamicademi, a school whose best days are behind it. The shoot goes sideways when real zombies start crawling out of the woodwork, so the cast has to fight their way through the horde instead of acting. It plays as a third-person hack and slash: you carve through big groups with fast combos, and the tone stays light and comedic throughout. The cast includes Plutia, Peashy, Uzume, and Tamsoft, each with a distinct fighting style, so you can swap between them and find the moveset that suits you.

Playing together

In single player you build a two-person tag team and switch between the pair mid-fight to keep combos flowing. Online, up to 3 other players can join you for Multiplay mode, where the group takes on special quests that get new entries added daily. The same mode also covers online PvP if your group would rather fight each other. Coordinating a four-person squad against a zombie crowd is the core of the co-op experience here.

Before you start

Equipment and accessories are customizable, and the accessories can be placed just about anywhere on your character, so expect some time in the menus before a mission if you want to tune your loadout. The game runs as a 3D action RPG with a strong anime and comedy flavor, and the humor leans on memes and jokes about the games industry. If your group wants something silly and fast rather than grim and tactical, this fits that mood.
