Seven arcade games in one package
MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics brings together seven titles from the Marvel and Capcom crossover series. The lineup covers X-MEN CHILDREN OF THE ATOM, MARVEL SUPER HEROES, X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER, MARVEL SUPER HEROES vs. STREET FIGHTER, MARVEL vs. CAPCOM CLASH OF SUPER HEROES, and MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 2 New Age of Heroes. Alongside the 2D fighters sits THE PUNISHER, a beat 'em up rather than a versus fighter, so the collection has one game with a different structure from the rest.
Playing together
Every game in the collection can be played online or in co-op. You can set up a lobby with friends and fight head-to-head, team up for co-op, or sit back and spectate other matches. Ranked battles and casual matches are both available when you want to play against strangers, and rollback netcode keeps the connection steady. Remote Play Together is supported as well. The High Score Challenge mode puts everyone chasing the same goal on the global leaderboards, which works well as a group side bet.
Getting started
New players have adjustable difficulty levels, One Button Specials, and training modes to lean on, so a group with mixed experience levels can still play together without anyone getting stuck. Save and load points let you pick up almost anywhere, which matters when a session gets cut short. For the breaks between matches, the collection includes more than 500 pieces of artwork and development documents from all seven titles, plus a Music feature with over 200 tracks from the original arcade games.
