A marble racer built around Twitch chat
Marbles on Stream is a physics-driven marble racing game from Pixel by Pixel Studios Inc. Viewers type !play in Twitch chat and their own marble, wearing their own skin, drops onto the starting line. From there physics decides everything: marbles bounce, collide, get knocked off course and find unlikely ways to the front. Dozens of original tracks built by the developer sit alongside community-made maps, so no two drops tend to play out the same way.
You do not need a stream to play. You can run races on your own, build tracks in the Map Builder and share them, or play with up to three friends. The game is free to play.
Ways to race together
Race mode is a straight sprint through a track. Laps puts you on multi-lap circuits where position changes every corner and the last lap decides the result. Grand Prix strings 2 to 16 tracks together with points scored race by race and a podium for the top three.
Royale turns into an arena fight where marbles smash and charge until one is left rolling, with overtime ramping up the pressure; Zombie Royale is the undead variant. Tilted has the whole chat tilting the board together to guide as many marbles as possible through procedurally generated levels, and Tilted Sandbox lets you build those boards tile by tile, add custom tiles and moving obstacles, then run multi-stage competitions. Bloop is a bounce-and-chase-high-score mode with tournaments, live leaderboards and a broadcast overlay.
Wave Fighter, in beta, is the community versus 20 waves of zombies and four bosses: pick one of seven classes from Brawler and Medic to Stormcaller and Summoner, rescue fallen allies, and take boons and upgrades between waves. Hall of Marbles: The Great Tidy-Up, in alpha, is a first-person co-op adventure where you explore galleries and gardens and return scattered marbles to their shelves, solo or with up to three friends through Steam.
What to know before you start
For streamers the game runs an auto race director that follows the action and chases the last marble home, and you can take over manually with CineCam at any point. Chat can join, cheer and react with emotes, and can unleash Pluto to chase the leaders. Session settings cover sub-only and account-only joining, session leaderboards and stream-ready overlays, plus a Render Studio for making images, turntables and videos of marble cosmetics.
Your marble carries across streams: unlock skins, including evolving skins that grow through stages, plus trails, effects, emotes, pins and cards, and earn Season XP. Seasons run every six weeks with fresh cosmetics, new and updated maps, new modes and community events such as MarbleFest, where ambassador streamers host a week of races with prizes. A free mobile app shows match history, live season stats and a link to the stream where you raced.
