Classic Japanese Mahjong, Online
Mahjong Soul is an online game built around classic Japanese Mahjong, also known as Riichi Mahjong. You can play against opponents at similar skill levels to sharpen your game, or take on players from around the world in global matches. The game also offers a variety of special and amusing mahjong modes alongside the standard rules.
Playing With Your Group
For a session with friends, use Friend Room to create a private room and invite the rest of the group. Everyone in the room plays together, testing each other's skills in a setting you control rather than being matched with strangers. The expressive character emotes are there to liven up the table during play, so you can react to good hands and bad ones with the rest of the group.
Before You Start
If anyone at the table is new to Riichi Mahjong, the tutorials cover the basics and walk through how to handle various game scenarios with step-by-step guides. Beyond the matches themselves, you can bond with the game's charismatic characters, each bringing their own stories, and customize the table down to individual tiles and the tablecloth with dynamic effects.
