Real Japanese Mahjong for four
Mahjong Nagomi is the classic Japanese table game, not the tile-matching solitaire. Four players sit at one table, drawing and discarding tiles to build a hand while watching what everyone else throws away. The tiles are rendered in 3D with realistic movements and actions, and the interface carries the small details that make a real table feel alive. Background music was picked to keep the atmosphere going through a long session.
Playing with your group
Online multiplayer is the mode for a group: you take a seat with friends or with players from anywhere and play full games over the network. Single Player mode puts you against 3 AIs, which is the better place to work on your strategy before you bring it to the table with people. Voice support adds cries of joy and other audio effects during play, and a voiced scoring option is there when you want the tournament feel.
Settings worth checking first
A variety of local rules from around Japan are available, each with detailed settings, so agree on which rules your group is using before the first hand. The game is turn-based, so expect a steady pace of decisions rather than fast reactions. If you have never played Japanese Mahjong, start in Single Player mode against the AIs to learn the flow of drawing, discarding, and scoring, then move to Online Multiplayer when you feel ready.
