Toy car racing in everyday places

Mad Tracks puts you in control of pull-back-and-go toy cars, the kind you wound up and let rip across the floor as a kid. You race and play mini games in everyday places, with easy handling and acrobatic tracks. The game runs on friction-powered vehicles, so you manage the pull back and the release rather than a throttle. There are 45 challenges to work through, split between 21 races and 24 mini games, with 15 pickups and power ups to grab along the way. The whole thing is built for quick, fun-and-frustration-free sessions rather than long grinds.

Playing together with friends

Mad Tracks is made for local multiplayer, with support for up to 4 players on one screen using split screen. It also supports Steam's Remote Play Together, so friends who are not in the same room can join in over a connection. The racing includes vehicular combat and PvP, so you are not just driving lines — you are bumping and battling other cars. The mini games cover a spread of party formats including Mini Golf, Darts, Bowling, and Pool, which gives a group variety between races. Controller support is listed, so a gamepad is the natural way to play.

Before you start

The game leans casual and arcade rather than simulation, so expect forgiving handling and short rounds over technical driving. It is tagged as colorful, atmospheric, and relaxing alongside the combat racing side, so the tone stays light even when cars are crashing into each other. The 45 challenges and the split between 21 races and 24 mini games give a group plenty to cycle through in one sitting. If your group is spread across different locations, Remote Play Together is the route to playing together without being on the same couch.
