A mouse-sized island adventure

Let's Save Mice drops you into a 3D world where you play as a tiny mouse exploring an island full of towering trees, winding roots and mossy caves. Your brothers and sisters have been kidnapped by the rude and rowdy mice that live there, and your job is to find them. The island is packed with hidden secrets, so climbing, squeezing and scampering through every nook and cranny is the core of the game. Along the way you gather resources, loot materials and craft weapons, since the hostile mice will come at you and need a good bonk before they get you first.

Playing with your friends

The whole thing is built for online co-op with up to three friends joining you. Everyone explores the island together, solves puzzles as a group, hunts for keys and takes on quests from the island's quirky inhabitants. Over 25 mice are currently waiting to be rescued, each locked away behind the right key, so splitting up to search different corners or running quests in parallel pays off. Combat and puzzle-solving both work better with a group, and the collectathon side of the game means there is always something to grab while you travel.

Customization and story choices

Before you set out, you can create and personalize your own mouse. Change the color, the pattern, and even the size of the ears, cheeks and teeth, so each player in the group looks distinct. The island's story plays out through interactive cutscenes, and here is the twist: you and your friends vote to decide what happens next. That means the group's choices drive the narrative, so everyone should pay attention when a cutscene starts.

Things to know before starting

Let's Save Mice is in Early Access, so content can change and the current roster of rescuable mice is listed as "over 25 for now." It is free to play and requires online co-op, so you will want your friends online to get the full experience. Expect a mix of platforming, exploration, crafting, combat and questing rather than a single focus, and keep an eye out for Gophy the Gopher along the way.
