What Knight Squad 2 is

Knight Squad 2 is a top-down arcade multiplayer game where you pick an eccentric knight and fight over a shared arena with wacky weapons. The mechanics stay simple: move around the field, swing your sword, block incoming attacks, then grab something louder like a bazooka or mount a unicorn and go after your rivals. Matches run across a wide spread of modes, including a battle royale brawl, capturing the Grail, pushing the payload, hunting for souls, and becoming the Minion Master. The tone is cartoonish and comedic, so rounds stay light even when things get messy.

Playing together as a group

The game supports up to 8 players, with local and online cross-platform multiplayer, so people on different platforms can still end up in the same match. Friends can join for free, and Remote Play Together is available if someone wants to tag along from your session. If your group is short on bodies, customizable AI opponents can fill the remaining slots and keep the lobby competitive. On the controls side, you can use a classic controller or keyboard and mouse, which makes it easy to hand a seat to whoever shows up.

Before you start

A few things are worth knowing before the first round. The weapon pool mixes medieval staples like the noble bow and the exotic boomerang with sneakier options such as proximity mines, so expect a lot of variety between matches. Gameplay itself is customizable: you can enable the slippery floor, turn on exploding corpses, and change starter weapons and upgrades to dial the chaos up or down. That means your group can tune a session to be more structured or more ridiculous depending on the mood. Pick a mode, agree on the modifiers, and get fighting.
