Writing letters to real people

Kind Words (lo fi chill beats to write to) is a game about writing nice letters to real people. You sit in a cozy room, listen to chill music, and write short requests when something has got you down, stressed you out, or scared you. Other players anonymously respond with letters of comfort, sympathy, or gentle advice. The whole thing is a positive context with a warm, cozy mood, built around using your words to lift others and be lifted in return.

Playing together with your group

Everyone can respond to requests with letters, so your group can trade messages back and forth and see what each other writes. Stickers are part of the exchange: you start with a couple random stickers, you can place them on letters you write to others, and you can send one as an appreciative response to a letter you received. Once you get a new sticker you can make copies to send to other players, and each sticker comes with a 3D toy you can put on display in your room. Swapping letters builds up your sticker collection and your room decorations.

Before you start

Kind Words is asynchronous, so letters do not arrive in a live back-and-forth the way a chat does. The tone is emotional and wholesome rather than competitive, and the requests are short by design. The original Kind Words is still supported, and it shares save files with Kind Words 2, with players of both games able to write to each other.
