A card game built around greed
Journey of Greed is a turn-based card game that plays like a social board game. You take the role of a pirate adventurer in the Age of Discovery, heading into the lost islands alongside three other adventurers. The deeper you push into the adventure, the more dangerous it gets and the better the treasure becomes. Every turn forces a choice: keep going for more, or cut your losses and escape with what you already carry. You can also prepare for incoming danger or gamble on a bigger reward. The goal is simple: walk away with the most coins.
Playing against three other adventurers
Each adventure is played online against three other players, so reading the table matters as much as reading your cards. You can cooperate with the others when it suits you, or stab them in the back when the moment is right. Steal from them, set traps, assassinate, escape, and run mind games to get an edge. The tools are all there, and using every mean possible is part of the game. Other players are doing the same to you, so trust is a resource you spend carefully.
What to know before you start
The game is tagged as Indie, Strategy, Trading Card Game, Card Game, Turn-Based, Board Game, and Multiplayer, so expect a mix of deck play and board-style positioning rather than real-time action. If you are trying the demo first, there are a few limits to keep in mind: you can only open 10 Barrels in the demo, and Ladder mode is locked after you pass Rookie. The demo and the full version share the same server, so your progress carries over if you decide to continue.
