A cosmic artillery duel
Interplanetary: Enhanced Edition is a turn-based strategic artillery game played on the scale of a whole solar system. Each player develops a home planet, gathers resources, researches increasingly futuristic technologies and builds an arsenal of railguns, missiles and precision lasers. Shots travel across the planetary system, so you have to account for other celestial bodies and their gravity on the way to the target. Strategic build patterns, upgrades and defense structures keep your vital installations alive, but the arms race keeps escalating until only one civilization is left standing.
Playing together
You can challenge friends in hotseat matches or online matches, and you can fight skirmishes against the AI. Online AI Bots are included in this edition. Every turn you manage your planet's infrastructure, decide how to spend your gathered resources, and line up artillery shots across the system. Spying on enemies reveals weak points in their infrastructure, which gives you something concrete to aim at. The Enhanced Edition also adds Quick Targeting Mode for faster aiming.
Before you start
The gravity fields of the solar system shift unpredictably, so a shot that worked last turn can miss or curve differently next time. Observe your surroundings and use the changing orbits to your advantage rather than fighting them. This is a revised version of the original Interplanetary, and the no longer supported original is included in the Enhanced Edition for historical preservation. The Enhanced Edition also brings elliptic orbits, new buildings, rebalancing, and general fixes and improvements across the board.
