Getting the flock home

Home Sheep Home: Farmageddon Party Edition is a 2D platformer and puzzle game built around three sheep: Shaun, Timmy and Shirley. Each one moves differently, so you need the right sheep for the job. The journey takes you through underground caverns, abandoned mineshafts, the streets of London, past the guards at Buckingham Palace, and out into outer space, all in search of the green grass of home. The puzzles are demanding, and the answer usually comes from combining what each sheep can do rather than pushing through with one alone.

Playing together

The game supports local co-op, so a group can work through the puzzles as a flock. Beyond the main adventure there is a separate set of party games themed around the Shaun the Sheep movie, set at the Farmageddon theme park after Lu-La, Shaun's new alien pal, crash-lands near Mossy Bottom Farm. These fairground games are competitive, with players going up against each other rather than cooperating. Steam's Remote Play Together feature is available, which lets people join in over a connection instead of sharing one screen in the same room.

Before you start

Expect a mix of two play styles in one package: cooperative puzzle-platforming where the three sheep must be used together, and competitive party games where you are trying to beat the others. The puzzles are described as fiendishly challenging, so a group should be ready to stop and think rather than rush. Controller support is included, and the game runs in widescreen. The art is hand-painted and traditionally animated by Aardman Animations, the studio behind Shaun the Sheep, Wallace and Gromit, and Chicken Run. The tone is family friendly throughout, with plenty of sheep puns along the way.
