Napoleonic and WW1 battles

Holdfast: Nations At War is an online multiplayer first and third-person roleplay shooter. You fight in historic clashes on land and at sea, spanning the Napoleonic Wars and WW1. Servers hold over 150 players, so battles are large and loud. In the Napoleonic field battles you ram your shot and fire coordinated volleys shoulder to shoulder. In WW1 you charge at the officer's whistle across trench-ridden battlefields. You can also bombard the beaches of Gallipoli with a dreadnought or take to the seven seas aboard warships from the golden age of sail.

Playing as a group

Your most powerful weapon is your voice. Proximity voice chat is enabled, so you hear players around you and can talk through the fight. The community sits at the forefront, bringing role-players, regiment (clan) members, casual gamers, and those chasing untimely funny moments into the same match. Pick from 27 classes, each with its own traits and abilities that matter for your team's success. Stand steady in the ranks, take lead as an officer and fire musket volleys, support from the rear with artillery, command naval vessels, ride on horseback, or fight with a bayonet. Declare allegiance to the British Empire, French Empire, Kingdom of Prussia, Russian Empire, Austrian Empire, or Kingdom of Italy in the Napoleonic era, or fight for the Central or Allied Powers in WW1.

Before you start

There is player progression and customisation: 100+ unlockables include customisable heads, unique backpacks, specialised muskets and melee weaponry, plus gestures and shouts. Battle-hardened soldiers can display their feats through these cosmetics. Expect a mix of serious tactical play and meme-friendly chaos, since the game welcomes both regiment members and people there for the jokes.
