What Henry Halfhead Is

Henry Halfhead is a quirky sandbox adventure about a character who is only half a head but can turn into any object within reach. You play through everyday situations by becoming things like a bed, an apple, a flower, a knife, a watering can, or a paper plane, each with its own properties and abilities. The trick is combining what these objects can do to get through challenges and push Henry along through the different stages of life. A narrator tells the story and reacts to whatever mischief you get up to, so the tone stays light and playful. As you solve challenges you unlock new rooms and objects, and each level holds extra things to find, including alternative solutions, funky hats, and more story bits.

Playing Together

The game has a local co-op mode where a friend joins you on the same screen. You can work together to solve challenges, or you can lean into the chaos and cause trouble as a pair. Since the whole idea is turning into objects and combining their abilities, having a second player opens up more ways to approach a problem. Steam also lists Remote Play Together, which lets a friend join over the internet as if they were sitting next to you.

Before You Start

Go in expecting to experiment rather than follow one fixed solution. Levels reward poking at objects to see what they do and finding routes the designers left open, so trying odd combinations is part of the fun. The game is tagged as casual and wholesome, with a story-rich, exploratory feel rather than a demanding difficulty curve. It is a singleplayer game at heart with local co-op layered on, so plan on sharing a screen if you want to play with someone else.
