What Goons: Legends & Mayhem is
This is arcade hockey mixed with a beat 'em up, set across a range of themed levels. You pick from eight characters split into three classes: the attack-focused Sharpshooter, the defence-oriented Enforcer, and the Wingman, who either supports the team or harasses the opposition. Each character carries its own abilities and traits, so team makeup matters as much as aim. The story mode sends you through Rondelia, a kingdom where hockey sits at the centre of everything, to stop the Grand Mascoteer from ruining the sport for everyone. Progress through stages, unlock characters, and pick up emote stickers and skins along the way.
Playing together
Matches run as 2v2 against a single goaltender or as classic 3v3 for full chaos. You can play local co-op, online with friends, or multiplayer with strangers. Remote Play Together is supported, and Online Co-op and Online PvP cover the online side. Communication decides games here: call plays, pick the right class for the job, and try to score. The goalie is a constant problem, using long-range attacks, mortar strikes, and melee charges to shut down your best moves.
Before you start
Story mode turns goaltenders into boss fights, each one teaching a different hockey technique before you take those skills into PvP. Environments carry their own mechanics and hazards, from a chilled fish market coast to a mythical realm of wizardry, so expect the rink to change under your feet. Levelling unlocks emote stickers and skins, and matches earn currency you spend in shops. A controller is required for local multiplayer.
