What Golf Galore is
Golf Galore is an online multiplayer mini golf game built around hazards that go beyond a normal course. Balls travel through portals, get fired out of cannons, and have to dodge saw blades while you line up each shot. The game is in Early Access, so the content and options may keep changing as it develops.
There are four maps, each with 18 holes: Valley, Haven, Castle, and Lab. Every map brings its own layout and set of obstacles, so a hole you figured out in Valley does not play the same way in Lab. You can also customize your ball using Steam items.
Playing with your group
Golf Galore runs on online PvP, so your group plays together over the internet rather than on one shared screen. Two ways to play are included: Golf mode, where you count strokes hole by hole, and Race mode, where the pace is the point. Pick whichever fits the mood of the session.
The match settings are adjustable before you start. You can turn ball collision on or off, allow jumping, switch on "hardcore", and set random spawns, among other options. Those switches change how the round feels a lot, so it is worth agreeing on a setup with your group before the first tee.
Before you tee off
Expect the courses to punish careless shots. Portals move your ball somewhere else entirely, cannons launch it across gaps, and saw blades sit where a straightforward line would normally go. Reading the hole before you swing saves strokes, and a bad bounce can cost you more than a bad aim.
Since the game is Early Access, treat the current feature set as the starting point rather than a finished package. Check that everyone in your group can join the same online match, settle on Golf mode or Race mode, agree on the game options, and then play through the 18 holes of whichever map you choose.
