A post-apocalyptic hunt against Aragami
GOD EATER 3 is a third-person action RPG set in a ruined world where god-like monsters called Aragami are devastating what's left of civilization. You play as part of a special team of God Eaters whose job is to take these creatures down. The game carries an epic story with unique characters, and it introduces new God Arcs and new enemies to the long-running series. Fights are fast and aggressive: ground, air and step attacks evolve into Burst Arts, and a new Dive dash attack lets you move freely across the arena while hunting down wandering Aragami.
Choosing how you fight
Your weapon is a God Arc, and this entry adds several new ones to the armory. The Biting Edge is a dual-wield setup for close combat, the Heavy Moon is a two-handed moon axe, and the Ray Gun lets you fight from a distance. Picking one of these changes how you approach a hunt, so a group can cover different ranges and roles rather than everyone doing the same thing. Be aware that the new Ash Aragami are a real step up in danger: they can use Devour Attacks and enter Burst Mode, which increases their strength sharply. Against those enemies you need to push your weapon and your play further than the standard foes demand.
Playing together
GOD EATER 3 supports Online Co-op, so your group can team up and take on the Aragami as a squad instead of soloing every hunt. The co-op play is built around the same combat system described above, so coordinating who carries which God Arc matters when a fight gets out of hand. There's also Online PvP available if your group wants to test itself against other players rather than the monsters. Alongside the multiplayer options, the game can be played singleplayer, and it includes character customization so each of you can build a look that's your own.
