Play a ghost wrecking a manor

Ethereal Estate puts you in the role of Lulu, an Ethereal Estate agent and a ghost, sent to ruin the Viotto family's manor. The inhabitants are tidy people living in a house full of objects that are waiting to be tampered with. You get ghostly powers to examine, experiment on, and destroy everything in the home, causing mayhem and ruining the lives and deaths of the people inside. The game is played in first person and leans on physics, so messes you make come from real objects tipping, breaking, and scattering around the rooms. Along the way, the destruction uncovers the family's secret. There is something familiar about this mansion, and tearing it apart is how you find out what the family is hiding.

Bring a friend into the mayhem

The chaos is built to be shared. You can play local co-op side by side with a friend, or use Remote Play Together to join from your own home and wreck the manor together. Two ghosts doubling up on a house full of breakable objects means more mess in less time, and you can split up to cover different wings of the manor or work the same room from two angles. The tone is comedy with a dark edge, so expect the destruction to be played for laughs rather than horror. Co-op is optional: the game also works as a singleplayer experience if you would rather haunt the Viottos alone.

Before you start

The game is a casual sandbox with exploration and simulation at its core, so there is no pressure to move fast or play a certain way. Poking around the house and testing what each object does under your ghostly powers is the point. Keep in mind the tags include both cute and dark humor, so the inhabitants' misfortunes are treated with a straight face and a sense of fun. It is a free-to-play title, runs in 3D, and supports local multiplayer as well as Remote Play Together for anyone joining remotely.
