A standalone hunt in the ELDEN RING universe

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN is a standalone adventure set in the ELDEN RING universe, built around a reimagined version of the series' core design. It is an action RPG with PvE combat, roguelike structure and a dark, violent tone. Each run takes place in Limveld, a transitory land that changes between game sessions, so the route you take one night will not be the same the next time. Your goal is to survive two full days and nights, defeat the commanders that appear, and then face one of the enormous Nightlords that lurk beyond the reach of most mortals. The Nightlords only reveal themselves once their commanders have been defeated after two consecutive nights, and each one must be beaten before the reign of night can end. A relentless environmental threat sweeps across the land as you go, so moving with purpose matters as much as fighting well.

Three players, two days, one Nightlord

The game is built around 3-player online co-op. You can invite friends or match with other players to form a team of three Nightfarers, and together you have two full days to explore Limveld and hunt a Nightlord. The land shifts between sessions, so the group has to read the map and decide where to push each time you load in. Coordination pays off in combat as well: you take command of one of eight uniquely skilled heroes, and each Nightfarer brings three abilities — a passive, a character skill, and an ultimate art. These tools reflect each hero's history and background, and while each one is formidable alone, their skills create powerful synergies when the team commits together. The run ends when the night's boss goes down or the group falls, then you start again in a reshaped Limveld.

What to know before you start

This is a session-based experience rather than a long continuous campaign: each attempt is a self-contained two-day hunt with a boss waiting at the end. Expect dark, violent PvE encounters against large enemies and a survival pressure from the environment itself, not from other players. The eight Nightfarers play differently from one another, so picking a hero that suits your role in the group changes how the run feels. The Deluxe Edition adds The Forsaken Hollows, which includes two additional Nightfarers, two Day Three bosses, an additional Shifting Earth, plus a digital artbook and mini soundtrack.
