What Dragon Drop is

Dragon Drop is a top-down party game where you play as a small Pico Dragon on a checkerboard arena. Your main tool is a beam of fire breath that wipes away rows of cubes. Clearing rows is not just for points: the floor under your rivals disappears, and anyone standing on a missing cube drops out. The arena keeps shrinking your options, so movement and timing matter as much as aim. The game is in Early Access, and new boards will be added over time.

Playing with your group

You can play with up to four players, or fill empty slots with bots, so a group can start even when not everyone shows up. Rounds are short and fast, and the top-down camera keeps everyone visible on the same arena. Remote Play Together is supported, which means one person can host and the others join in without needing their own copy. Everything is local multiplayer and PvP, so the fun comes from knocking each other off rather than from a long campaign. The tone is cartoony and colorful, with cute dragons and a family-friendly look, but the competition is still direct: whoever gets dropped is out of that round.

Before you start

There is character customization to set up: a large selection of hats and colors lets each player make a Pico Dragon that is easy to recognize mid-fight. Progression runs through achievement boards, which unlock new customizations, stages, songs, and other rewards, so early rounds will mostly hand you the basics while you work toward unlocks. The stage list is large — dozens of unique stages — and layouts differ, so expect to learn which boards punish a careless step. Because it is Early Access, content and balance can change as new boards and features arrive. Plan for short sessions where the whole group plays on one screen or through Remote Play Together, pick your colors before the first round, and keep an eye on the cubes under your own feet while you aim at everyone else.
