What Disc Golf Valley is

Disc Golf Valley is a disc golf game built around throwing discs across 14 courses, each set up with its own layout and challenges. You carry a bag of discs rather than a single club, so what you bring matters: different discs cover different distances, shapes, and lines around obstacles. Between rounds you fill out that bag further by collecting discs and picking up new ones in the pro shop. There are thousands of unique discs to collect and throw, so sorting through what you own and deciding what makes the cut is part of the loop alongside the actual throwing.

Playing it with your group

Online PvP is the way your group goes head to head. Everyone works the same course and throws the same holes, and the score is what settles it. Since it is score attack at heart, you can also measure runs against each other rather than only playing directly: one person sets a score on a course, the rest of the group tries to beat it. Tournament mode gives you a structured event to sign up for when a plain set of rounds feels too casual. On top of that, challenge mode lets you take on each course in turn and unlock new discs as you clear them, which gives a group something shared to work toward over several sessions.

Before you start

Expect a real learning curve rather than instant mastery. The discs behave differently from one another, so learning which one to pull out of the bag for a given shape is a big part of improving your score. Three practice modes exist for that exact purpose — use them to get a feel for a course or a disc before committing to a scored round. Courses in the Valley are described as both beautiful and challenging, so going in blind on a new one will cost strokes. A sensible first session is to run one course a few times in practice, then play the same course for scores with your group so everyone is competing on ground they have already walked.
