Miguel's road back to Rosario

Dead World is a first-person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic Argentina, thirty years after World War III. You play Miguel, who heads to Rosario in Santa Fe Province to check on a shipment that never arrived. Along the way he gets stuck in a city run by "Las Serpientes," the group holding the only bridge between Rosario and Entre Ríos, where his home lies. The game is in Early Access, developed by a single person at Milanesa Studio, and the story currently sits at 66% complete, with more content to come.

Playing together

The main way two people meet in Dead World is the 1v1 mode, where you face off against another player to see who comes out on top. Beyond that, the game is built around a singleplayer campaign, so a group's best bet is taking turns on the story or comparing runs in "A Cool Rogue," the roguelite mode where your decisions and abilities decide how long you last. The Steam features list Online PvP, which lines up with the 1v1 mode.

What to expect before starting

Expect exploration with a purpose: you search detailed environments for resources that keep you alive, and you fight mutants and bandits with a wide range of weapons. The tags point to a walking-simulator pace between fights, an atmospheric and sometimes funny tone, investigation elements, and multiple endings, so choices along the way matter. It is tagged violent, and it is Early Access, meaning systems and the story can shift as updates land. The open world invites wandering, but the bridge held by Las Serpientes is the thing pulling Miguel forward.
