A Teamwork-First WWII Shooter

Day of Infamy is a first-person shooter set during World War II, focusing on close-quarters combat across iconic European battlefields. The game features high lethality gunplay where positioning and communication matter more than reflexes alone. You can secure positions, destroy enemy equipment, and eliminate officers to push the front line forward. With nine specialized player classes and an arsenal of over 60 period-accurate weapons—ranging from Thompson submachine guns and FG42 auto rifles to PIAT launchers and flamethrowers—you have plenty of options for customizing your loadout with bayonets, grenade launchers, and extended magazines.

Playing Together as a Squad

This game is built for coordinated groups. There are seven player-versus-player modes where your squad fights other players, plus three cooperative modes where you team up against AI opponents. Communication is central to the experience; you can use proximity voice chat to speak with nearby friendlies and enemies, or equip a radio backpack to coordinate broader tactical calls with your team. Working together allows you to call in heavy support like artillery strikes, smoke screens, carpet bombings, Stuka dive bombers, and supply drops to break enemy lines or cover an advance.

What to Know Before Starting

The matches take place across 14 different levels based on real WWII battles, featuring environments like fortified beachheads, war-torn villages, destroyed cities, and snow-covered forests. As you play, you will progress through ranks to unlock 33 different playable units across the US Army, British Commonwealth, and German Wehrmacht factions. The game also includes a large amount of community content, with over 1,200 mods, maps, and skins available through the Steam Workshop. Be aware that the game does not run on Windows 11 Version 24H2.
