A satirical arena shooter
Countryballs: Modern Ballfare is a third-person multiplayer shooter built around Countryball memes. You pick a Countryball, grab a weapon and fight other Countryballs across arena maps until one side comes out on top. The tone is crude comedy: absurd abilities sit alongside machine guns, rocket launchers, the noobtube, a raygun, a giant finger and a throwable trashcan. Abilities include jetpacking across a map, farting your way to safety, throwing poop in someone's face, building Trump's wall and attending a disco. There are four finished maps so far: a bunker, the woodlands, rooftops and the grotto, with more planned.
Playing with your group
Online PvP puts your Countryballs against each other in the arenas, and the "Dumb Bot" AI fills in bot enemies when you want targets without waiting. Online Co-op covers the zombie mode: up to four players take on unrelenting undead hordes, explore, upgrade weapons and face unfair bosses, alone or together. Character customization lets you adjust your Countryball with a wide selection to choose from, and smashing the Piñata unlocks accessories to show off to friends and enemies.
Before you start
The game is still in development, so expect more additions over time. The humor leans into dark comedy, memes and political satire, which is worth knowing before you jump in with a group. Perks are described as mostly helpful most of the time, so expect some chaos rather than balanced tactics.
