What Choice Chamber is

Choice Chamber is a crowdsourced action platformer built around a simple idea: the person playing does not control everything. Viewers in a Twitch chat vote in real time and their choices reshape the run as it happens. Power ups, enemies, obstacles and even the rules of the world shift based on what the crowd picks, so no two playthroughs line up. The levels are procedurally generated from that input, which is why difficulty and surprises swing wildly from one session to the next. It's a 2D platformer with swordplay, hack-and-slash combat and permadeath, tagged as difficult, so expect to die and start over rather than coast through.

How a group plays it together

The main way to play with friends is to connect the game to a Twitch channel and let everyone in chat take part. The streamer plays while the crowd votes, and the votes land immediately, changing what appears on screen mid-run. It works with any number of participants, from one person up to a large audience, and there is an offline mode when no one is streaming. For people sitting in the same room, there is 2-player local co-op that works in both the online and offline modes, so two of you can share a run on one screen while the chat still pulls the strings.

Before you start

Set up the Twitch connection first if you want the full experience, since the crowd's input is what drives the world generation. Without it, use offline mode and play locally instead. Runs are short-lived by design: permadeath means a death ends the attempt, and the difficulty can spike depending on what the audience chooses, so a hostile or random chat can make a run brutal. Progress carries over in the form of unlockable weapons, powers, characters and secrets, plus achievements and trading cards to chase across attempts. The soundtrack comes from Jukio Kallio, who also worked on Nuclear Throne, Celeste and Fall Guys.
