A castle of trust and betrayal
Castle of Blackwater is a 2D social deduction game where up to 10 strangers are trapped in a castle filled with danger, deception, and dark forces. Each round you are placed into one of three factions. Protectors work to complete tasks, form alliances, and expose the Satanic. Satanic players sabotage, eliminate, and manipulate their way to victory. The Forgotten plays both sides and stirs up chaos as a wildcard. The match runs in real time, so reading other players and acting on what you learn matters as much as the tasks themselves.
Playing together as a group
Your group joins the same match and gets spread across the factions, which means you will end up lying to each other at some point. Proximity voice and text chat is built into the game, so you can scheme in private, whisper to an ally, or shout accusations during a discussion. Ten characters each bring a unique ability, including silencing a player mid-discussion, transforming into a werewolf, and reading minds to uncover secrets. Death is not the end: as a ghost you collect souls to buy power-ups for your team and keep influencing the match from beyond the grave.
Tasks, mini-games, and customization
Between the suspicion and the arguing, there are more than 20 mini-games and tasks to keep everyone moving. You might slice vegetables like a ninja, chop down a tree like a lumberjack, or light candles in a musical memory game. Over 200 customization items let you equip weapons, shields, emotes, and custom eliminations, so you can dance with a skeleton or go out in style. The game is free to play and supports online co-op and online PvP, with matches running in real time.
