What Cargo Hunters is

Cargo Hunters is a third-person PvE extraction shooter set on a dead, dystopian Earth. You control a remote-controlled humanoid robot sent out to scavenge what humanity left behind. The world was emptied by superviruses released from melting Antarctic ice, and the people who fled Earth now pay good money to get their old memorabilia back. That is the job: go in, find loot, and get out. Loot you collect can be lost if you fail, so every run is a decision about how much risk is worth taking.

Playing it with your group

You can run it solo or in a four-player co-op team. As a group you decide how each job gets done — brute force, sneaking, stealing, crafting, buying, or just searching. Everyone brings a loadout, and carrying capacity, weight, noise, and condition all matter, so coordinating who hauls what is part of the run. Enemies are PvE threats you face together, and the shared goal is simple: get in, get the cargo, and escape before it is too late.

Loadouts, loot, and survival

Guns are a big part of the build. Firearms differ in specs, ballistics, condition, ammo types, modifications, and handling, and carrying a lot of them brings trouble as well as firepower. Your robot body can wear human clothes and armor, take replaceable limbs, and harvest parts from fallen enemies, recycling what you do not need. Crafting and inventory management sit alongside the shooting, so a good run is as much about what you leave behind as what you take. The game is in Early Access, so expect things to change as development continues.
