What Bullet Heaven 2 is
Bullet Heaven 2 is a bullet-hell shoot-em-up inspired by games like Touhou and Jamestown. It's a shoot-em-up spinoff of the Epic Battle Fantasy series, built around shooting every cute thing that moves while dodging hundreds of shiny bullets per second. The screen fills with mesmerizing bullet patterns and tons of cute monsters to shoot in the face, and the whole thing runs in 2D with an anime look. The 18 musical tracks from Phyrnna carry the action, and the characters deliver lots of juvenile dialogue packed with video game references.
Playing it together
Up to 4 players can play in local co-op, so your group can sit on the same screen and split the incoming fire between you. Steam also lists Remote Play Together, which lets friends join over the network as if they were local. Everyone picks from 8 playable characters, each with several different weapons and costumes, so you can spread roles across the group instead of everyone running the same loadout. Controls work with mouse, keyboard, or controller, so people can use whatever they have on hand.
Before you start
There are 70 unique levels, including epic boss battles and endless survival levels, plus tons of achievements, unlockables, and ranks to collect. Difficulty comes in three settings that change the bullet count directly: Normal gives 25% bullets, Hard gives 50%, and Heavenly gives 100%. Unlockable cheats and handicaps let you tune things further, which is useful when a mixed-skill group is playing together. Expect a tough game — it carries the Difficult tag — so pick a starting difficulty that suits the room before diving in.
