What Bravery Network Online is
Bravery Network Online is a turn-based battle RPG set in Tower 6, a future where technology has ended resource scarcity and the citizens pass the time by battling each other in a sport called Bravery. You play as their coach, helping your fighters stay confident and focus on what will win the match. The roster is full of strange future folks you can befriend, and you can help them build confidence, shore up weaknesses, and pick out powerful necklaces to wear. Outside of battles, a set of small single-player stories explores Tower 6, its mysteries, and its curious inhabitants.
How a match works
You bring a custom team of five fighters into a match. With one fighter out, you and your opponent both make your decisions in secret: pick a move, or switch to another member of your team. Once both choices are locked in, they resolve, and the first player to eliminate all of the opposing fighters wins. That hidden-decision step is the heart of it, so reading what your opponent is likely to do and covering your own weak spots matters as much as raw damage.
Building your team
There are many moves, traits, and strategies to try. You can lean into straightforward attacks, whittle foes away with feelings, or just make a giant mess — the game supports all of these and more. Character customization lets you shape your fighters, and necklace choices add another layer of planning before you step into a match.
Playing together and what to know going in
Online battles and rankings are there if your group wants to compete against each other or climb the ladder. The game is in Early Access, so expect things to still be taking shape as you play. It carries a colorful, cartoony, anime-influenced look with a post-apocalyptic setting that plays things light rather than grim.
