A hard pixel platformer

Blaite is a platform game from Dosane Games built around one idea: the levels are brutal, and you keep going anyway. You will repeat a level dozens of times before it clicks, and the store text puts it plainly that this is hours of fun and anger at the same time, in a good way. The look is pixel graphics, and the tags cover Action, Adventure, Casual, Indie, Platformer, Difficult, Multiplayer.

Playing with your friends

The game is made to be played alongside other people. You can challenge your friends and either laugh with them or at them while everyone grinds through the same tough stages. Steam lists Remote Play Together, so friends can join in through that feature. The store text also notes that you receive up to 5 new levels each week, which gives the group fresh material to argue over.

Before you start

Go in expecting failure as part of the loop. Levels are designed to be repeated many times, so a first attempt is unlikely to end well. Set aside time for a session where everyone can take turns dying and retrying, since that is the core of the experience. The difficulty tag is there for a reason, and the weekly level drops mean there is always something new waiting once the current set is beaten.
