A backyard grill sandbox that keeps going wrong

BBQ Simulator: The Squad is a first-person cooking sandbox built around one job: get food onto plates before everyone's hunger meter runs out. You craft your own grill, cook steaks, and serve them, but the physics layer keeps interrupting the plan — meat goes flying, tools behave unpredictably, and the kitchen side of things is just as messy, with microwaves included as an option that can explode. Between the grilling you also get a garden to hang out in, with activities like soccer and mowing for whoever would rather chill than stand over the fire.

Playing together as a squad

Online co-op supports up to 8 players, and you can also play alone. The whole design leans on splitting tasks: some people cook, some serve, some handle the garden and the distractions. Weather changes and flies are the main things that mess with the work, so defending the grill and the meat is a shared responsibility rather than one person's chore. Avatar customization covers facial features and outfits, so everyone shows up as their own character rather than a generic cook.

What to know before firing it up

The tone is comedy first — flying steaks, bandit flies, blowtorches and fire extinguishers are all part of the routine, so expect chaos more than a strict cooking challenge. The hunger clock means there is always pressure to keep serving, even when the grill is under attack or the weather turns. It runs with a controller and is tagged family friendly, so it suits mixed groups. Expect a physics-driven sandbox where your plans are suggestions: bring people who enjoy laughing at a BBQ going sideways rather than people who want a clean, optimized kitchen run.
