What Barro 22 is

Barro 22 is a racing game built around toy cars and go karts, presented in 3D from a third-person view. It's the next step in the Barro Racing series and brings back the tracks from the first game in the lineup. The short pitch for the game is a single word: jump, which fits the light, arcade-leaning feel of hurling small cars around a circuit. Alongside the returning tracks, there are 25 race tracks in total and 7 new vehicles to drive.

Playing with friends

The main way a group plays together is local split screen multiplayer for up to 4 players on one setup. Everyone shares the same screen, each with their own section, so you can race side by side and see exactly where the others are. Remote Play Together is also supported, which lets people join in over a connection rather than sitting at the same machine. If the group is smaller or you just want to drive on your own, single player gives you a casual race against bots.

Modes and things to know before starting

Two modes cover the main ways to spend time here. Casual race is the single player option where you run against bots, useful for learning a track or just driving without pressure. Time Trial is the mode for chasing a clean lap and beating your own best time, with no traffic to worry about.

Expect a casual, arcade-style driving game with a simulation and sports streak rather than a serious simulator. It's a sequel, so it sits alongside the earlier Barro Racing entries and reuses their tracks. Before you start, decide whether the group wants to race each other in split screen or take turns grinding times in Time Trial, since those two modes suit very different moods.
