A drunken climb up the mountain

Bar After Bar is a multiplayer driving game where a group of five friends tries to reach the top of a mountain. The catch is that you spend the whole trip mixing drinks and throwing them at each other. Every drink you take makes the car harder to handle, so the run turns into a slow negotiation between staying sober enough to steer and keeping the joke going with your friends. The driving is offroad and physics-based, with a colorful 3D world to push through as you climb.

Playing together

The game is built around online co-op, so the five of you drive as one crew toward the same goal. There is plenty of room for chaos: mixing drinks, tossing them at whoever is driving, and watching the handling fall apart as intoxication rises. Character customization lets each of you look different before you set off, which makes it easier to tell who is doing what once things get messy on the road. The shared objective keeps everyone pointed the same way even when the group is busy sabotaging itself.

What to know before starting

Expect a party game more than a serious driving sim. The fun comes from the physics and the group dynamic rather than from clean, precise handling, and the difficulty curve is the alcohol itself: the further you go, the worse everyone drives. It helps to agree up front how competitive you want to be about reaching the summit, since throwing drinks at your own teammates is a perfectly valid way to spend the trip. Bring a full group of five for the intended experience, and be ready for runs that end early on a steep section rather than at the top.
