What Armajet is
Armajet is a 2.5D jetpack shooter built around short, fast rounds. Matches run for four minutes and support up to eight players in online real-time battles. The action is described as 100% skill-based, with controls that are easy to pick up but take time to master. Fights take place across four maps with different biomes: jungle, snow, volcano and space, with more planned. Alongside your gunplay you can deploy ultimate abilities such as sentry turrets, drones and airstrikes. Bot AI fills matches when needed, so queues stay short and games keep moving.
Playing together with your group
Armajet has an in-game friend system built in, so you can join live matches with the people you know rather than only matching with strangers. The Steam version lists online co-op and online PvP, and the game supports cross-platform play, meaning PC and mobile players can play against each other. Weapons and control schemes were designed specifically to work across platforms, so a friend on a phone and a friend on a PC can still share a match. Progress carries between devices through the Super Bit ID account system, so your group does not have to start over when someone switches to mobile.
Before you start
The game is free to play and the developers state it is never pay to win. Progression is built around leveling, stats and customization rather than raw power: there are over 700 weapon modifications to unlock, and the intended loop is finding a weapon you like and personalizing it. Expect a competitive, violent shooter with gore, team-based play and season leaderboards. It runs on monitors above 120 FPS, and the developers say they update the game frequently with new content. The Neon engine underneath handles low-latency synchronous multiplayer across PC and mobile, which matters if your group is split across devices.
