What Apokerlypse is

Apokerlypse is a card-strategy roguelike built on the poker goal of getting rid of all your cards. You play as a card shark in the Tavern at the End of the World, and each run is a fresh chance to combine demon chips that rewrite the rules of play. The game leans into dark humor and trickery: playing fair and playing safe is rarely the smart move here. Even if you know nothing about poker, you can jump in with zero barriers to entry.

How a group plays it together

The game supports 2–3 player online versus, with a 4-player mode in development. Online matches are a completely separate experience from single-player, featuring Fate Cards and the unpredictable Party Feast to keep things chaotic. Every battle pits you against card builds created by real players in asynchronous multiplayer, each armed with unique skills, chip combinations, and personalized decks. Find their weaknesses and do whatever it takes to defeat them. If your group wants to play solo instead, the single-player experience stands on its own, with ladder ranks to climb and enemies that grow tougher as your score rises.

Before you start

Each hero comes with an exclusive skill pool and chip pool: Rogue chains attacks endlessly, Spider Priestess weaves cards into a deadly web, Gladiator overwhelms with bomb throws, Alchemist commands fire, and Queen fights alongside dragons. More heroes are in development. Every run lets you craft a different build through a rich set of deckbuilding tools: 400 chips that reshape core mechanics, 70 unique skills plus 70+ skill modifiers, 13 card enchantments, and classic deckbuilding actions like buying, removing, and transforming cards. Skills like Dragonfire Bomb, Bro on Bro, Blade Storm, and Emberblade Katana show the kind of tricks you can pull.
