What Dirt Racing 24 Gold Edition is
This is the official game of the World of Outlaws, presented by iRacing. You race dirt ovals in the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars, Late Models and Super DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds, plus 8 additional series that include the new Micro Sprints. The Gold Edition comes with 51 tracks, covering well-known places like Eldora Speedway, Knoxville Raceway and Volusia Speedway Park alongside additions such as Kevin Harvick's Kern Raceway, Millbridge Speedway, Oswego Speedway and Huset's Speedway. With that many car and track combinations, no two careers play out the same way.
How your group plays together
Online PvP lets you and your friends race each other over the internet, so you can line up on the same track and settle who is fastest on dirt. Remote Play Together is also supported, which means one person can host the game and others can join in from their own machines. Local Multiplayer and Split Screen are listed as features, so a shared screen is an option for people playing side by side. Controller support is included, which suits this kind of driving game well.
Career, challenges and what to expect
Career Mode is the main single-player path: you work your way up with the goal of matching Donny Schatz's 10-time National Champion record. Alongside that, the new Challenge Mode puts your skills directly against Donny himself, giving you a fixed test rather than a full season. The game is tagged as realistic and simulation-leaning, so expect driving that rewards learning how the cars handle on dirt rather than casual arcade steering. It runs in 3D and is built around offroad oval racing, so the racing is tight, close-quarters and contact-heavy by nature.
