What Waves 2: Notorious is
Waves 2: Notorious is an arcade twin-stick shooter set in Cyberspace. You play as a Runner diving into Corporate Networks to fight Bugs, Programs, Viruses, and AIs. The Administrator is an AI that learns your weaknesses and adapts as you play, so the same approach stops working if you lean on it too hard. Chain kills together to build your Combo, earn Adrenaline, and spend it on Burst Attacks. Between runs, you can customize your Avatar's Load-out from 36 Programs and look for combinations that suit how you fight. The Networks are procedurally generated, so the layout changes each time you dive.
How a group plays it together
Online PvP puts you and other players in a real-time Survival match where the goal is to be the last one standing. There are also Arcade Arenas built for score chasing, with Ranks that increase every day, week, and month for a shot at the top spot. Your group can compare how far each person gets, who holds the best score, and which Program combinations are working. Since the Administrator adapts to individual weaknesses, each player faces a different version of the pressure.
What to know before starting
This is Early Access, so things can change while you play. It is a Bullet Hell game: the screen fills with projectiles and survival comes down to movement and positioning as much as aim. The 36 Programs are meant to be mixed and matched, so expect to spend time testing load-outs rather than settling on one setup right away. The Administrator learning your habits means repeating the same strategy gets punished, and you will need to adjust mid-run.
