Turtle Football with guns
Turtle Champs is a first-person shooter where you play as a Turtle and score goals. You get 5 minutes on the clock, and the team with the most goals at the end wins. Your pistol does double duty: it shoots the ball, launches opponents, and pushes you through the air. The pistol holds 9 bullets and fires either 1 or 3 at a time. It only reloads while you are on the ground, so staying airborne keeps you in the fight but drains your ammo. Getting around at speed in the air lets you reach the ball before someone who is running, which gives experienced players a real edge over newcomers.
Playing with your group
This is an online multiplayer game built for you and your friends to duke it out on the football field. The field is large, and weapons have long range, so there is plenty of room to spread out and take shots. The big goal at the bottom is worth 1 point, while a small goal sits above it worth 3 points. Hitting the small one is hard, but it is how good players pull ahead. There are 3 maps: Forest, Beach and Space. They are purely aesthetic and change nothing about how the game plays, so pick whichever looks best to your group.
Before you start
Up to 8 players are supported, though the developer recommends no more than 4 for ping reasons. Default settings are the recommended way to play, but you are free to adjust things to suit yourself. The game is meant for a casual crowd who just want a free game to play with online friends, and the tone is deliberately silly: it is Turtle Football with guns, so treat it that way. The whole game is free with no pay-to-win features. The only paid extra is the Cosmetic Pass, a DLC that puts a topper on your shell or changes your weapon skin, and other players can see those changes.
